New Student Enrollment

New pupils may be registered the week prior to school opening. Returning students are automatically re-enrolled.
Out-of-state students need proof of grades, attendance, and immunizations upon entering. Students are expected to attend the school for which they are zoned.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten attendance is mandatory in Tennessee. A full-day program is provided for all students; however, parents may request that Kindergarten students be dismissed one hour before the official close of the school day.

Proficiency Testing

Robertson County Schools use the TerraNova state testing program. Schools use the results of the TerraNova test to evaluate and design curricula as well as to analyze student progres.

Exit Exams for Graduating Seniors

Students must pass the appropriate Gateway  tests in order to receive a regular high school diploma. Robertson County students score at or above state and national averages. Many students perform above the 90th percentile on state and national tests.

Types of Diplomas

There are currently two types of diplomas issued in the county. The regular diploma is issued to a graduating senior who has met the minimum requirements of the State of Tennessee as well as the school board. A special education diploma is also available.
